Question: I am looking at renting out my spare room at my PPR, do i need to declare the rent from the tennant as personal income and therefore have to pay tax on this?

Definitely a question to be answered by the Tax office FAQ’s – ATO. Certainly something which is done in and around the city and I imagine a different thing for people to police.
